Fun fact: My favorite muscles to dry needle are the Quadratus Lumborum (QL) and Gluteus Minimus. These two muscles are often the source of discomfort and tension creating Pseudo Sciatica! but they respond beautifully to treatment!
Meet Dr. Amy
Hello! I’m Dr. Amy Bates , a chiropractor and wellness advocate with over 15 years of experience. I’m not just a chiropractor—I’m a problem solver at heart, passionate about helping people feel their best by getting to the root of their pain and dysfunction. I take a multifaceted approach to patient care because I understand that the body is complex. The source of pain and dysfunction often boils down to one thing: stress.
Whether it’s structural, nutritional, or neurological stress (or a combination of all three), my job is to help you uncover the underlying issues and guide you toward lasting relief.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and later graduated with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2010. Since then, I’ve continued my education through extensive post-graduate training, including Loomis Enzyme Therapy, Trigger Point Dry Needling, cold laser therapy, Postural Restoration Institute, and Neurokinetic Therapy (which I was the first to offer in the KC metro). I’m a lifelong learner, always expanding my knowledge so I can offer you the most effective, evidence-based treatments.
But beyond techniques and tools, I’m passionate about building meaningful connections with my patients. Growing up in the Sandhills of Nebraska taught me the value of hard work and genuine relationships. As an only child, I learned to be independent, yet I find a deep sense of fulfillment in connecting with others and helping them trust in their bodies and their healing potential.
When you walk into my office, I want you to feel heard and understood. My goal is to give you the tools to better understand your body, empower you to listen to its signals, and help you feel confident in your recovery. I want you to leave knowing that there is hope, and together, we’ll work toward a pain-free, vibrant life.
If you’re ready to get to the root of your pain and start feeling better, I’d love to meet you and help you on your journey to health.
